Coaching
Coaching and counseling are two different areas of expertise.
Mental health counselors help their client’s reach mental health goals. The counselor focuses on unpacking and deeply processing life’s challenges. Counselors explore their client’s challenges and use various evidence-based methods of treatments to help them reduce symptoms of mental health issues by taking a deep dive into their biological, psychological, and social landscape. The therapist can assess for mental illness, diagnose, and treat the client according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-V).
Coaches use a direct approach to help the client reach their goals. Coaches help clients explore the landscape of their lives by using techniques to help them open up their creativity, envision a different scenario for themselves, and stay motivated toward change. Coaching can be time limited, results-focused, and action oriented.
I have experience in both counseling and coaching. Many of the tools of coaching can overlap with those of counseling.
Group Coaching
Many busy adults may not have the time or resources to meet with a coach one on one weekly. Group coaching is an excellent alternative. Often provided at a lower cost than one on one coaching sessions, group coaching uses the expertise of the coach, the experiences of other participants, and the energy of the collective to create a powerful space to help clients reach their goals. Group coaching is focused on a specific challenge shared by all participants. As a group coach I will provide resources, tools and techniques, and safe space to explore the topic and help all participants work toward effective change.
I am excited to offer some coaching packages that are based in Christian principles and beliefs. Spiritual practices have been a huge part of my emotional and physical healing journey and I want to provide a space to equip other believers with tools and techniques that will help you tremendously on your journey.
Emotional Wellness Coaching
I have had the pleasure of serving as the resident emotional wellness coach for various wellness companies and non-profit organizations. Having an emotional wellness coach can be invaluable for your employees, clients and members of your organization. The whole world is hungry to know how to better care for themselves, especially their mental and emotional wellbeing. This includes your employees, clients, and members of your organization as well. Investing in a trained and licensed professional to support your team will only serve as a benefit. I educate, teach, and provide helpful tools and techniques to support the wellness needs of your company or organization.

Testimonials
Certified Safe Space Group Participant 1
Leslie/CCG cultivated a space that Black women rarely get, one to be vulnerable and honest in a safe and loving environment. This kind of space is much needed and I’m so grateful that I was able to be a part of it.
