Perfectionism doesn’t appear to be extreme. It may look and feel like you are keeping yourself safe by “doing the right thing.” But rigid perfectionistic thoughts and behaviors lead to anxiety and depression and keep you from living a full life.
Overcoming Fear & Anxiety
Fear and anxiety can wreak havoc on your life. Not only does anxiety cause your thoughts to spiral uncontrollably, it also causes stress on your body – real stress. It weakens your immune system, and can tear down the organs in your body. Many people are walking around in a perpetual fight or flight. The body wasn’t made to hold this type of stress.
Self Love
Sometimes we just don’t know how to get back on the “road back to you.” If you have experienced the downs of life, trials, and transitions, you know what I’m talking about. You get so bogged down tending to life and the lives of others that you forget (or maybe you never knew) how to love and honor yourself.
Healthy Relationships
You don’t live in a vacuum. You weren’t hurt in a vacuum. You were hurt in relationship with other humans. And being in healthy relationship with the right humans can help the healing process. Healthy relationships aren’t given, they are intentionally cultivated. They take work — and it’s worth it.
